Product Strategist

Faith Christopher

I look at products as a whole: who they're for, how they make money, and whether the experience earns its place in someone's life.

Currently defining product and market strategy at a pre-seed AI company. MBA candidate, Rice University (Jones Graduate School of Business). Previously: MS Business Analytics, product analysis background.

SkinPal: AI Dermatology, Without the Visit

SkinPal is an AI skin-analysis app that replaces the routine dermatologist visit: scan your skin, get product recommendations, and build a personalized skincare routine. Built with my team from concept to a working prototype.

I owned the customer side of the product, building the user personas and defining the ideal customer profile (18-30, digitally native, skincare-curious but dermatologist-averse on cost and access). Every product decision downstream traced back to that ICP work. I also mapped the end-to-end user journey and wireframed the experience in Balsamiq before a line of code was written.

Spotify Social Feature: The Case for Not Building

Our team set out to make Spotify more social: in-app reactions, emoji, and conversations around shared playlists. The hypothesis was more time-in-app. The research killed the hypothesis, and that was the right outcome.

Through user testing and interviews, we found that Spotify is an app you use, not a place you stay. Music and podcasts are the background to driving, the gym, work, users don't want to be on Spotify, they want Spotify running while they live. A Figma prototype didn't move perception either. We recommended not prioritizing the feature, the only team in the cohort to kill its own idea, a decision our professor singled out.

Knowing when not to build is the cheapest product decision a company ever makes.

Sentivity.ai, GTM Strategy Lead

Discovering an Untapped Segment for AI Sentiment Analysis

Joined a pre-seed AI company with no defined market entry and asked the first product strategy question: who is this actually for? Competitive and market-fit research surfaced streaming studios, companies whose success lives and dies on audience sentiment, yet underserved by incumbent social listening tools. I validated the segment and built the outreach pipeline in Apollo and Clay, targeting enterprise streaming and ad-tech leaders.

Proving the Value Prop in Public: 85,000+ Organic Impressions

Spearheaded a data-driven, organic positioning campaign that proved the product in public: a live sentiment analysis of the Nike × Wembanyama moment, published without paid amplification. It captured 85,000+ impressions and converted directly into pipeline conversations with senior brand and marketing leaders at major consumer and sports enterprises. The product's own output was the growth engine, the reach validated the value proposition before a single sales deck was built.

Where Does This Product Win?

Mapped the product against established players in social listening and sentiment analysis (Brandwatch, Meltwater, Sprout Social, Sprinklr) to answer the positioning question every early product faces: where do we win, and what narrative supports it? The output shaped the product's pitch to enterprise prospects, including strategic materials for a major streaming platform's data and research organization.

Churn, Growth, and Expansion Strategy for a LATAM Legal-Tech Platform

For an Argentine legal automation platform, produced a comprehensive growth strategy covering churn analysis, retention levers, and LATAM market expansion: product strategy in an unfamiliar market, legal domain, and business culture. Delivered as a 17-page strategic document through Rice's Global Field Experience program.

GA4 Reporting API · Claude Code

Building the Measurement Layer: Automated Analytics Without an Engineering Dependency

The problem: manual dashboard exports, no way to pull analytics without engineering time.

The solution: I built a reporting pipeline connecting the GA4 Reporting API to an automated report, developed hands-on with Claude Code, no engineering time required.

The result: traffic, engagement, and conversion signals on demand, without touching a dashboard or waiting on anyone.

Product strategists who can build their own data tooling don't wait on anyone to answer "how is it performing?"

About

Faith Christopher

I'm a product strategist with an unusual path into product: product analysis, then an MS in Business Analytics, now an MBA at Rice. That sequence shows in how I work: I start with evidence, define who the product is for before deciding what it does, and treat "don't build it" as a legitimate recommendation.

I'm drawn to products where the technical and the commercial are genuinely inseparable, where understanding how the model works changes what you build and who you build it for.

Outside of product work, I lead the Rice Business Marketing Association as President and have long-standing commitments to the Prison Entrepreneurship Program and Dress for Success Houston.
